REST IN PEACE: Jawbone of 19-Year-Old Sade Robinson Identified Nearly Two Years After She Was Killed and Dismembered Following a First Date in Milwaukee

A heartbreaking discovery has brought renewed attention to the tragic murder of 19-year-old Sade Carleena Robinson, whose remains continue to be recovered more than two years after she was brutally killed and dismembered following what was supposed to be an ordinary first date in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Authorities have confirmed that a jawbone discovered along the shores of Lake Michigan belongs to Robinson, giving her grieving family another painful reminder of the horrific crime that took their daughter’s life.

The remains were discovered on Friday, October 30, 2026, by a pedestrian walking along the shoreline near Warnimont Park in Cudahy, Wisconsin, a community just outside Milwaukee. According to reports, the individual noticed what appeared to be human remains on a rock and immediately contacted authorities.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office later confirmed that the partial upper jawbone belonged to Robinson following forensic examination. Her mother, Sheena Scarbrough, publicly shared the heartbreaking news during a news conference on Thursday, November 5.

The discovery has reopened emotional wounds for a family that has spent years searching for answers and hoping to recover all of their daughter’s remains.

THE NIGHT THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING

Sade Robinson was just 19 years old when her life was taken on April 1, 2024.

The young college student had reportedly been excited about going on a first date with Maxwell Anderson, a man she had recently met. The two initially met at a Milwaukee restaurant before visiting other establishments for food and drinks.

According to investigators, the pair eventually travelled to Anderson’s residence on Milwaukee’s south side.

However, Robinson never returned home.

When she failed to show up for her scheduled shift at Pizza Shuttle the following day, her friends and coworkers became concerned. What initially appeared to be a missing-person case quickly developed into a disturbing homicide investigation.

A HORRIFIC CRIME THAT SHOCKED THE COMMUNITY

Investigators pieced together evidence using surveillance footage, cellphone records and other forensic findings.

Prosecutors presented evidence showing that Anderson killed Robinson, dismembered her body and disposed of her remains at different locations across Milwaukee County.

Her vehicle was also discovered burned, with investigators believing it had been set on fire in an attempt to destroy evidence.

In the days and weeks following her disappearance, different parts of Robinson’s body were discovered in several locations.

Among the remains recovered were parts of her legs, an arm and her torso. Some remains were also discovered along the Lake Michigan shoreline, including in areas outside Milwaukee.

The discoveries horrified residents and left Robinson’s family desperately searching for the remaining parts of her body.

Her head had remained missing, making the latest discovery of her jawbone particularly significant to the investigation and her family’s ongoing search.

JUSTICE FOR SADE ROBINSON

The man responsible for Robinson’s death, Maxwell Anderson, was arrested and prosecuted for the crime.

After a trial that attracted significant public attention, a jury found Anderson guilty on June 6, 2025, of first-degree intentional homicide, mutilating a corpse, hiding a corpse and arson.

He was subsequently sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole in August 2025.

Although the conviction brought some measure of justice to Robinson’s family, it could not undo the devastating loss or answer every question surrounding the disappearance of her remains.

HER FAMILY IS STILL SEARCHING FOR ANSWERS

For Robinson’s mother, Sheena Scarbrough, the latest discovery represents another painful chapter in a tragedy that has continued to affect her family.

During Thursday’s news conference, Scarbrough expressed the emotional difficulty of learning that another part of her daughter had been recovered.

She also made an emotional plea for the return of the remaining parts of Robinson’s body, particularly her daughter’s head.

The family is encouraging people walking along the Lake Michigan shoreline, particularly between Cudahy, Wisconsin, and Waukegan, Illinois, to remain alert and report anything that could help locate additional remains.

A further search effort is expected to take place as the family continues its efforts to bring as much of Sade home as possible.

A LIFE THAT DESERVED SO MUCH MORE

Sade Robinson was only 19 years old. She had her entire future ahead of her, with opportunities to grow, experience life, pursue her dreams and create beautiful memories with the people she loved.

She went out expecting to enjoy a first date, never knowing that it would become the last night of her life.

More than two years later, her family is still dealing with the unimaginable consequences of losing her in such a horrific way.

While the discovery of her jawbone cannot erase their pain, it offers another opportunity to recover a part of their daughter and continue the search for the remains that are still missing.

May Sade Carleena Robinson continue to be remembered, and may her family find the strength to endure this heartbreaking loss.

REST IN PEACE, SADE. 🕊️💔
