MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN — A heartbreaking tragedy has claimed the life of an 18-year-old young man following a police pursuit that ended in a devastating crash in Milwaukee on Sunday night, November 1, 2026.
Loved ones have identified the victim as David, an 18-year-old senior at Milwaukee School of Languages. His death has left family members, friends, classmates, and loved ones grieving a life that ended far too soon. 💔
According to the Milwaukee Police Department, the incident happened shortly after 10 p.m. Sunday, when officers observed a vehicle being driven recklessly near South 23rd Street and West Greenfield Avenue.
Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the driver allegedly refused to pull over. A police pursuit followed as officers attempted to stop the vehicle.
The pursuit eventually came to a tragic end near the intersection of South Layton Boulevard and Greenfield Avenue, where the fleeing vehicle struck another car.
The impact resulted in devastating consequences. The driver of the vehicle that was struck, identified as an 18-year-old, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the fleeing vehicle, a 36-year-old man, was taken into custody and transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
A 28-year-old female passenger who was inside the fleeing vehicle also suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
